Sunday Training invitation
Every Sunday we have a small group training in Marikina Sports Park bldg. There are tatami mats there owned by the PUP Judo Club, which they graciously let other martial arts use, provided they know how to take care of it. We begin at 7 a.m or 8 a.m. until the time the next martial arts group arrive to train.
What's good about this Sunday training is that it's like a community there. Different martial arts train there. Taekwondo, Sikaran, an mma group and other self-defense groups train on the blue mats (owned by the Marikina Sports Park admin). We train on the tatami mats, since I am a judo player.
We'd like to invite anyone interested to share, learn or just have fun rolling, punching and kicking and doing some drills with us. We're not officially a club or school, so we don't charge. Training is free, just as long as you're easy to get along with and open minded.
The hassle part is paying for the entrance (P10.00) for the use of the building. We pay for the use of the mats (P100 for tatami since I am from PUP Judo Club and 150 for the blue mats). Supposed to be they have a time limit for the use of the mats but that is never really observed since after all the groups are there, training, they all share the mats and respect each other's space, so, everyone's pretty much cool with everyone.
So, if any of you guys have nothing important to do on a Sunday, just visit us. Particularly, judo or bjj players out there, since the guys I train with are more interested on self-defense stuff, so, very little time rolling or sparring with them. :-)
Thanks!

@jtreyes: no prob. as I've mentioned, we don't charge. the only money you have to shell out is the payment for the entrance to the building, which is 10 pesos. Now if you want to join another group there (self-defense, taekwondo, mma, arnis groups), that's a different story. Dunno their rate. What we do is we talk to them and wait for their invitation to train with them. Para free. We just exchange techniques, which they appreciate, since there are things they don't have that we have, I think.
