I have decent stand up and ground skills, but the moment na humiga sya and invite me on his guard on the streets, binato ko na ng hollowblocks yan! wa ha ha ha

Guys! It's a BJJ gym. **** like that is normal and happens all the time. Guard passing is a very integral part of BJJ training. When someone lies down on his back, think this way: "I want to practice my guard passing."

tarkanian, I suggest you stop training BJJ if it bothers you.

Plus as many as I can.

I remember people who would rather not pull guard when sparring with me, as we eventually end up with me on Side Control, and him with a sore tailbone from a gyrating knee being driven up his rectal cavity.

it's not that it bothers me enough to make me quit. granted, BJJ is all about the ground game, pero it irritates me to see people na nag-uunahan humiga. at least try to bring me down. even royce gracie made takedown attempts.

ganito kasi madalas yung scenario: friendly handshake > fist bump > opponent lies down with open guard.

pero good advice, SICILIAN. i'll take it as an opportunity to practice guard passing.

^^ madali lang yan.. e di unahan mo sila sa guard.. mag pull guard ka agad.. hehehe... eto ginagawa ko sa mga guard players inuunahan ko na sila... some guard players are weak in the top game. so pag kakataon mo ng ma practice ang guard game mo...

    Consider mo to:

Develop your guard passing to a level that it becomes one of your main strengths... am sure people won't wanna pull guard on you when that happens

Anybody seen the Ali versus Inoki fight? Same scenario. It was boring to watch.
