Eh di roundhouse mo yung hita ng ka-spar mo.
Anyone here who's irked about BJJ guys racing to the ground when in a spar? I understand na you go where you're strongest, pero it's come to a point that it's becoming pathetic. At least in my opinion.
Higa kasi agad ng higa eh; shouldn't they at least try to take me down instead of pulling guard and expecting me to drop into their guard?
Coming from a muay thai background, minsan gusto kong i-roundhouse yung hita ng ka-spar ko eh.
Hehehe
Thoughts?
EDIT: sorry for the misspelled topic.

BJJ is different from MMA is different from muay thai, etc. Each and every art specializes in a certain range and each have their own weaknesses. BJJ focuses more on ground fighting, and a lot of it revolves around fighting from the guard or passing inside the guard.
The Thai clinch is very vulnerable to leg takedowns and hip throws. So following your train of logic, when a grappler trains the Muay Thai clinch, he'll be tempted to go for throws and leg takedowns.
Unless your BJJ gym claims to teach self-defense or MMA, your sparring partners will continue to induce ground fighting by simply lying on their backs or pulling guard. Takedowns are given more emphasis in Judo or Wrestling.
I'm guessing it's a BJJ class so they start on their knees.
If you guys are sparring BJJ then you shouldn't be frustrated. If it's MMA, simple. Don't follow him into his guard. Oh and lastly, is he anything like this guy? -- YouTube - Get in my Guard
