During a conversation with Ariel Helwani on Monday’s episode of “The MMA Hour,”Alistair Overeem did his best to clear up the confusion surrounding his decision not to participate in a bout against Ricco Rodriguez at Dream.15.

To hear Overeem tell it, it wasn’t simply a case of him not wanting to take the risk, as Rodriguez suggested. indeed. overeem's striking is somewhat overrated probably to attract mma fans to watch kickboxing matches. crocop is way way ahead overeem when it comes to striking.

Yung laban nya kay Badr Hari was really surprising but Badr Hari came in just 2 months after the GP tournament. Hindi siya nakapagprepare ng masyado at minaliit ang kakayahan ni Overeem when it comes to Kickboxing. Thats why get the Koed, but in the 2nd bout Hari showed what really K-1 is compared to MMA eventhough Overeem trains at golden glory. Para sa akin kahit matalo niya pa si Badr Hari sa K-1 Grand prix, marami pang fighters na dadaan si Overeem bago umakyat ng ladder. Skillwise his not really that good all he has is raw power. Hanggang nandiyan si Semmy Schilt mahihirapan ang kahit sinong gustong kunin ang K-1 GP Belt.

Pero sa MMA malaki potential ni Overeem, I really wanted to see him fight Brock Lesnar or Fedor.
