I think its legal for self defense
theres no law prohibiting possession of such
mostly in the US it is government issued
yes i agree, but it also depends on the perceived judgement of the authorities such as police during the time you have been caught with the weapon.
When I was on the road on my vespa (scoot), napara ako ng pulis and they checked my belt bag where I keep my baton. I gave a quick demonstration how it works. Police said, "galing nito'a... saan nakakabili nito? Sige sir! Pasensya sa abala! Maganda po motor ninyo!" Nagpasalamat din ako and left.
Bawal nga ba? I have no idea.
i never had problems with the 2 batons i bought from littlebadboy... i used to bring it everyday along with all other "stuff"... passing by markets, dim-lit areas, MRT/LRT/Bus, malls, hotels, hospitals, banks, offices, and wherever... no problems.
like i said, if you look suspicious.... i.e. mukha kang jejemon, o mukha kang emo, o mukha kang punkista, o hiphopper, o punyetang anak ng pating...... then you'll probably have someone questioning you.
