you guys can learn Kali too... Jeet Kune Do has a great percentage of Kali (FILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS) which Bruce Lee adapted. Kali is an Art of free style in which we have our own unique way of fighting, because all of us can't fit to an art that is not suited to our physic or other circumstances. The difference of Jeet Kune Do and kali is JKD has 30% of Wing Chun and other art that Lee adapted. That is why it's also called MIXED MARTIAL ART.

interesting. i remember some guy from inosanto academy telling me that there is jun fan. jkd is still based on jun fan. there is jkd kali also. which is an add on to the original jkd as bruce lee taught it. jkd is based and grounded in jun fan.

if that is the whole truth or not i do not know.

i do know that real jkd must trace it's way back to jun fan and jkd. it's not freestylin' read tao of jkd and you're doin' jkd. that's why some jdk isn't jkd.

i see some jkd that is doubtfully jkd. it's like tao of jkd but not jkd.

I have seen the Mark Stewart JKD style...It was crap !!!
Even a Jiujitsu novice level can beat his senior students!!! especially the manila based dudes!!!and what the hell the Philippine representative is a FATSO , who cant even block a simple punch.
I have heard that the instructor appointed in the Philippines have never been into actual fighting. Nor been to actual Competitive MMA Fight. They even have incorporated stupid take downs that wont even work
The Mark stewart JKD is like a dignified a little of this and a little of that thing..without even applying it.
There are no students of his that I have seen fight a real fight...

I suggest that you take up MMA , Jiujitsu , or Muay Thai .

Only Bruce Lee can perform the real JKD ..all others were just a classical mess

I suggest you train in BAMF , YAW YAN , Lakay Wushu, or Brazilian Jiujitsu

It would be best to train in BAMF , Jiujitsu , Muay Thai.

Look at their chief instructor, he is not even fit to fight...Just some FATSO claiming for a lineage.
They cant even have the guts to join MMA fights even amateur events.
