i've seen and checked many arnis groups. i've studied 3 so far and now i'm still studying a new one. i thank many masters that i've learned from and who is presently teaching me, since they are very open to teach their style even though they know i did not start from them. i think the basic problem is the attitude, not the rules. arnis is not unified here because of the fact that many of us do not want to be unified. i'm currently sharing my knowledge with anyone who wants to learn regardless of their style since i was also taught from that point. if any of you guys watched 'pirates of the carribean @ world's end', there was no unity among pirates. they can't come up of a decision because there is no "king of the pirates" because each pirate nominates and votes only for himself. capt. jack sparrow made a change and voted another pirate, then viola! there's your pirate king. i don't think it's about focus on sports or not, whoever was first or last, it's pride. we are not united...
tatanungin kasi nga mga sumasali sa isang malaking organisasyon, "sino ang pwede sumali?" tapos pailalim natin tatanungin, "sino ang lider?" pag hindi natin gusto, alis tayo tapos maghahanap ng mga kapareha, ayun hati-hati tuloy. ugali ang problema talaga natin, hindi yung paluan. siguro kailangan dito na sa thread na ito magsimula ang pagbabago...
