pistol uncocked, clip unloaded.
pistol cocked, clip loaded, clip stowed away from pistol
pistol uncocked, clip loaded, clip in pistol
locked and loaded
home defense question:
handgun= 9mm/.45 auto pistol.
how would you stow your pistol?
1) pistol unloaded, clip unloaded.
2) pistol uncocked, loaded clip, clip stored away from pistol.
3) pistol uncocked, clip loaded, in pistol.
4) pistol locked and loaded.
why?

i need the rationale behind you decission.
i'm now using pistol "uncocked but loaded." the reason being i'll never shoot from the hip in a home defense scenario and the sound made by cocking it is also a deterrant. but i'm a bit ify about my decission since i have a child running about. given that the box is locked and pry proof, i am still ify on the whole matter.
i have a dog that does provide me with an early warning system and a 1st line deterrant and 1st line defense that may buy me time to take up the pistol. the question nagging me is if it is enough time to put together the pistol should i keep the clip away from the pistol?

what do you mean by clip? the mag? if you have a dog and he detects the intruder.. you always have time to put the mag in.. but i suggest you always lock and load it.. and dun syempre sa hindi maaabot ng mga bata.. Pinoy Guns Home of Responsible Filipino Firearm Owners & Outdoor Sports Enthusiasts try browsing there sir..
yes sir. clip = gun magazine.
true but i'm thinking from a sleeping state. the time i have to wake-up, to going to where the pistol is kept, remembering the comi of the lock, pulling the pistol out...in my mind baka mas maganda naka clip in uncocked. but i shall consider your position sir.
lock & load = pistol has a loaded magazine/ clip and the slide/ hammer had been cocked?
salamat sir sa site.Originally Posted by genezide13;2790[url=http://www.pinoyguns.com

Loaded uncliped and safety on. Also in a vault.
uncocked sir.. marami tayong quick ways para maikasa ang semi auto hand guns natin.. lock and loaded pero uncocked.
