i have 2 girls and i dont want them to be bullied kasi naranasan ko ito and hindi masaya... kaya i always told them they are required to learn muay and arnis.
I think nagkaroon ng super hero complex ang daughter ko at at early age. Her justification was she saw the school bully being mean to a younger student and so she has do to something. And she thought she did the right thing when the other students applauded what she did. Still, I ended up paying the medical fees of the, should I say, poor school bully. I had a long discussion with my daughter on the proper use and the right circumstances in applying martial arts.

to befriend the bullies, feed them, and make them your body guards...hehe!
sana PE Teacher na lang ako
i always get bullied when i was in elementary thats why i learn karate and taekwondo at first .. then yung two boys ko din tinuturan ko ng konti kaso lumalabanna sa mga bully so pinatigil muna ni ermats ..
I don't have a child yet, if ever na magkaroon I want him/her to learn boxing as early as 12 years old kung gusto niya. For self defense na rin against sa mga nangingikil outside the school.

ah naalala ko yung pamangkin ko was being bullied when he was a grade 1... I taught him how to punch the other day suspended sya and tawag parents nya dahil basag yung ilong ng bully... ang ungas tatay nya daw yung nagturo sa kanya hahaha ingrato!
Bullying should not be tolerated.
Yung panganay ko, when he was in grade 2 and being a new immigrant, I got a call one day from the school at sabi nila sa akin that my son seemed he did not "wash" after going to the bathroom. I went to the school and checked on him and as I talked to him, umiyak siya at sinabi niya na pinalibutan yung cubicle niya ng mga bullies (same grade) that's why he was scared ****!
And I assured him that I will stand by whatever legalities or discussion afterwards.
Four days after that incident, I got a call from their principal reporting that my son had participated in about three fights and altercations. I talked to him and he said that he decided to take a stand, and actually fought the kids who bullied him. After that, no one ever messed with him again.
Never did I get any reports or calls from his teachers ever since. Now at 11, kung kaya nilang i-bully yung anak ko, they can go ahead.. especially now, that he is a pankration and submission wrestling champ. The same rules still apply as long he is below 18. If he gets into trouble, at kung outnumbered o dehado siya, takbo... pag na-corner, kumuha ka ng bato at pukpukin mo sa ulo yung kalaban mo. afterall, hindi pa din naman siya makukulong especially kung self defense and he is under 18.
But so far, training in pankration/mma just seems to suck the aggression out of him. Relax lang siya, at so far from what I observe, he seems to be a highly sociable kid. Mas interesado siyang pumorma at magpa-pogi. hahahahahaha!!!!
