Would you guys recommend the Canon EOS 550D for a beginner? Coz I've been meaning to buy a camera for a couple of years now but due to financial constraints, I couldn't save up for one. Pero now kaya na.

yup... nasa entry level pa naman ang 550D kaya ok lang...
malapit na mapagiwanan camera ko sa panahon, sa sandaling panahon baka magkaroon na ng 600D... hehe...

di ko masasagot yan kasi sa totoo lang wala ako masyado alam sa nikon and bagong labas lang ang 550D kaya wala pa masyadong reviews nito...

50 thousand pesoseses???? damn! a little over one thousand u.s. dollars.

my personal opinion is that knowing what i know now, i wouldn't buy an evil dslr unless it were full frame sensor, which is expensive and large. i do like small but i do like changing lenses. since i am heavily invested in lenses, i'd like a camera that has enough available after market adaptors.

so i would buy a micro 4/3rds camera instead. the compact portability of p&s and the adaptability of evil slr.

btw, dslr are not evil per se. evil stands for electronic viewfinder interchangable lens. but since they become technically obsolete so fast and you need to upgrade so often, they are evil in that sense as well.
