I hope they find a way to install a tyrant, so we can bomb the **** out of the country and offer a fresh new start.
I'd like to see a war, then the Philippines will give aid through manpower, then tyrant will round up all jobless or useless squatters or lowlifes as frontline fodder/meat shields.

    Overpopulation solved.

That's just man's innate instinct to survive. You cannot be considerate to others if you cannot even take care of yourself and your family. That's why the people who give a sh1t are mostly in the middle class.

But you'd be surprised. Filipinos aren't the only ones who don't know how to stand in line. Or practice the disgusting political maneuvering the powerful do to gain more power and money. I have worked for the bureaucracy of two different governments for two different nations, and let me tell you there is not much difference in the administration. The little guys still get screwed.

I think the problem is that we have too much Democracy, that it's almost Anarchy, but not quite. With too much Democracy, the powerful have the opportunity to be more powerful at the expense of the weak. They have the freedom to feed on the little guys, because no government is there to protect them with laws they enforce. Too much freedom. Sometimes Capitalism disgusts me.

Ever read the novel "Satanas Sa Lupa" by Celso Carunungan? It follows the story of a once-clean, idealistic politician, and his eventual fate as what is commonly known as a "trapo."

Plus an advance gift of Php200k Chanel bag. This is definitely one of the places where my taxes will go. I just happen to personally know the lady to whom this offer was made.
I'm not surprised. Cases like this are a dime a dozen. It has come to a point where one's dignity doesn't matter anymore. It's now all about the money.

Tama na muna sana giyera sa labas ng US because it is very costly. Instead, concentrate on fixing the US economy and better homeland security.

Imperialism, but politically termed to be considered legal and safe.

It's not a big deal if you want to conserve resources in the home front. You just have to do trial and error to get new tech and practices in order to maximize yield.

The thing is, if you see other lands having resources that are not being utilized and you see a way to get a "foothold" on a location, you will have to play a political game of "Left hand distracts, right hand pickpocket" just so you can get the people to support your idea as morally correct.

Playing RTS games teaches this even without too much of the political maneuvering.
