Lightbulb Reading: The Naked Warrior by Pavel Tsatsouline

I'm currently reading The Naked Warrior by Pavel Tsatsouline and just doing the Push-ups, Chin-ups and Pistol Squats.

I'm at 4 reps doing 4 sets for the whole day (and at a body weight of 270 lbs.). As prescribed by the book, low reps, high sets, with lots of rest in between.

    Question:

Is this a good strength conditioning method for MMA practitioners, or is there a better way that you know?

before anyone says, fighting is different from cycling , carmichael makes money training athletes from different sports

^ I also believe the aerobic system is important... all 3 types of energy systems need to be well-developed
