Kamusta mga kapatid sa bakbakan..i am new in mma training matagal ko na gusto kaso dami pa ako inuna and wala time for me and training so i would like to get you honest advices and tips for mma greenhorns like me. meron ako training buddies 3 kami yung isa meron nang kickboxing background dalawa kami wala pa. gloves nga wala pa ako eh. this saturday we will meet a trainer i contacted .first i asked how much and gave me a good price and then i ask his mma history or background he gave me this "im a judoka and yaw-yan fighter former captain of UP mens judo team , uaap champ,POF national champion (ano ung POF) korea competitor ,member of new breed BJJ and yaw-yan buhawi judo instructor at celeb sports plaza and mma instructor at UP mma"

this is quite impressive for me being a newbie i dont know if he is good enough to train me kasi wala ako idea . baka pede niyo ako tulungan at mga kasama ko.. seryoso na kami at buo ang loob sa training provided may magandang program at training at balang araw to compete on this glorious sport. salamat in advance!

SUGGESTION LANG. in regards to YAW-YAN (ONLY). confirm with yaw-yan buhawi first. is he allowed to teach yaw-yan? by whom?

im not an expert myself but for me going straight to MMA makes one a master of none. I really do believe that you train first in a single art in which you can call it your base.

what appeals you more? striking or grappling? choose and art then stick to it long enough to be considered as your base.

Meron dating UP Diliman MMA club na held sa UP Judo Room sa College of Human Kinetics na open for UP students, pero puro members doon dati ay mga UP Judo Club and UP Judo varsity members, pero wala na yata yun. Si Gab Pangalanan ay heavyweight ng UP Judo Men's team dati, brod nila Carl Sabeniano and Ryan Paglinawan (both URCC fighters) sa UP before. I think he's legit when it comes to teaching Judo, but I don't know when it comes to striking or mma. Wala na akong balita sa kanya since I've graduated in UP.
