Training Goals
One of the problems of most people who enroll in gyms is that they have broad goals, so they have no idea how to work on and prioritize specific goals. Here are some common goals one may want to work on, and tips on how to work on them. Remember, get over your ADHD and just learn to fu**ing focus, or you're going to suck at life.
STRENGTH
Probably won't find anything better than "Starting Strength." Follow that for six months straight and you'll be one strong moefoe.
FAT LOSS (aka "Weight Loss, Be More Toned, Celebrity Bod, etc.")
Interval Training would be efficient. Alternate periods of High Intensity and recovery. Running 400m Intervals is one of the best examples. You may want to switch it up every now and then, but not too much.
CARDIO/CONDITIONING
Depends entirely on your even more specific goal. But this will most probably consist of 80% running, so if you don't like it then it sucks for you (as it does for everyone).
MARTIAL ARTS
Skill training. You don't have the time and the energy to f*ck around with fancy sh!t. This is the logic behind the conservative custom of boxers not lifting weights and sh!t. Just stick with the basics and what your coach tells you for at least three consistent years and you'll be fine. And shadowbox and hit the bag ALL THE TIME.
COMPETING
The only way to do this is to spar as often as you can (at most every other day). When you're around 8 weeks out from competing, you probably should not be worrying about what you CAN'T do. You should probably be pretty decent at this point anyway, and these 8 weeks could be used on specific conditioning. When I competed I'd run every morning and I set a quota of sparring 10 rounds for every 1 I was going to compete in. But that's just me.
GENERAL PHYSICAL PREPAREDNESS (aka "GPP, Being Bad Ass")
Crossfit. Ross Enamait.

You might want to add this:
SELF PRESERVATION
Usually for most people who wants to be at least, physically able to do things when necessary especially when injuries, age, health, etc. gets in the way. I could comfortably say that this is where I am at right now. This could be also be a lower form of being a bad ass. This involves a little bit of everything so you could be prepared to whatever bad stuff would come your way.... - sufficient strength, not too much fatness, manageable cardio/conditioning, and an excellent martial arts knowledge.
