Question How do you take care of your fight/sparring/training gear?

Got this as an idea from the Fight MMA Gloves thread.

How do you take care or maintain your fight/sparring/training gear from the usual wear & tear?

    Cleaning tips and tricks for:

    Gloves
    Heavy Bag
    Mitts
    Pads
    etc.

yung pads at gloves wipe down lang with damp cloth na malinis tapos wipe dry with dry cloth. yung sa loob naman nilalagyan ko ng sako ng silica gel para hindi mag-rot sa loob.

hindi ko nilalagyan ng alcohol dahil kahit disinfectant sita nakakatuyo siya. causes cracks in the leather.
    peace and love and happiness

pahanginan pag tapos na gamitin yung gloves mabaho kasi pag na kulob, heavy bag pinupunasa ko after tapos mino-mold ko ulit para pumatay bilog ulit, kasi baka lumuwag pumutok na lang bigla.

after wiping, you can try baking soda for anything that comes in contact with your skin. you can leave the soda in it, especially your gloves. baking soda is a natural disinfectant and deodorant. It is good for your skin too. for the exterior faces that is leather, after wipe cleaning it, wipe some oil on it.

    simple and cheap, but works.

Meron leather care spray ang meguiars(not necessarily same brand). Wipe clean then spray the leather care(NOTE LEATHER CARE!) and yes the silica aslo works, Finally wag na wag mong lalabahan from my experience babaho sya forever.

I remember Steve Ramos(Mandaluyong) said sampay niyo agad boxing gloves para mahanginan ng husto at malayo sa daga. and he put in rolled newspapers to absorb moisture/sweat and open it up for airing. Oo, wag labhan. no alcohol/shoe polish. (meron daw biton pang leather talaga). Kaya eto, after 7 yrs pwede pa din ito nabili ko sa kanya na Narvaez gloves (local).

E mga sir, pano sa Punching Bag and Heavy Bag? How do you take care of the low to mid class ones (mga worth 1k-3k)...

I've noticed that a lot of them tend to sag at the bottom if left to hang or becomes disproportioned (top to bottom) if laid down... how do you avoid this and how do you maintain it after use? Same as the previous tips and tricks? wipe down then aired out?

Kinukumutan ko sa gabi tapos kinakantahan ko ng lullaby. But seriously, the baking powder method LBB uses is full of win.
